The increased use of powder coating has had important environmental benefits. Gone are the environmental problems of the liquid finishing systems with their solvents, fumes and volatile organic compounds(VOCs). Instead a non toxic powder is used, there are no fumes to be evacuated into the atmosphere, the "leftovers are recycled, the coating lasts longer, workers have less exposure to hazards and there is less energy used and less solid waste created.
